ISO-ELEKTRA

ISO-ELEKTRA brand presentation

ISO-ELEKTRA can look back on more than 100 years of successful work. Day by day on average 6000 kg of polyurethane potting compounds, along with 5000 kg of other chemicals are formulated.

ISO-Elektra casting resins are suitable for:

  • Mechanical fixing of components
  • Electrical insulation
  • Protection against corrosion
  • Reduction of sensity against mechanical stress like vibration, impact, push, bending and tensile forces
  • Better heat transfer
  • Protection of components against tampering

Potting Compounds from ISO-ELEKTRA

Many technical applications in different branches of industry require protection against environmental influences, electrical or mechanical interference, and manipulation. In many cases this protection can be achieved by the use of cast resins.
ISO-ELEKTRA is manufacturing potting compounds with a wide range of properties. Most of the cast resins produced by ISO-ELEKTRA are based on polyurethanes or polyurethane-epoxy combinated systems.

Polyurethane cast resins are two-component-systems consisting of a resin- and a hardener component.

As a standard potting compound the minerally filled cold-curing 2-component polyurethane cast resin Iso-Pur K 760 based on polyether- and -esterpolyols and precured aromatic diisocyanates has proved its worth.

Iso-Pur K 760 was tested according to the German norm VDE 0291 / part 2 including hydrolysis and hydrophobic resistance. It has the following characteristics:

  • Standard material for casting electronic parts
  • Cured samples of ISO-PUR K 760 do not become brittle
  • The system has a good thermal conductivity and minimum shrinkage while curing
  • ISO-PUR K 760 protects against corrosion and shows good adhesion to metal, ceramics and many plastics
  • The standard mixing ratio resin to hardener is 4 : 1 by weight but by varying the mixing ratio different hardnesses can be achieved
  • Store dry and well closed
  • Stir up resin compound well
  • Then mix resin and hardener carefully in recommended ratio for 1 - 3 minutes
  • The mixture has to be poured into the mould immediately after mixing
