Established in 1982, Meanwell is one of the few manufacturers dedicated to the standard power supply in the world. The entry was made with the production of compatible switching power supplies for the Apple II as well as 1984 for IBM PCs. Meanwell has a broad range of industrial applications, including LED signage / lighting, industrial automation, information / telecommunications / trade, medical, transportation and green energy.
The company employs around 2,500 people and is headquartered in New Tapei Industrial Park, Taiwan, as well as offices in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Fremont, California and Amstelveen in the Netherlands. In addition, four advanced production facilities in New Taipei City (Taiwan) and Tianhe District and Huadu District in Guangzhou, Suzhou City in China.
