Electronic components from Sharp
SHARP
The company Sharp, founded in 1912 in Osaka, Japan, has a long success story. With a metallic belt buckle over an always sharp pencil on calculator up to the LED TV there were many innovative developments of the enterprise.
Sharp developed the first radio in Japan in 1925 and in 1953 produced the first series of televisions. Today's product range extends from entertainment technology, microwaves, digital information systems and mobile phones to solar modules. In 2015, the company sold part of its television distribution to Hisense, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, with production at Sharp. In 2006, it sold another part to Foxconn, a Taiwanese company.
In 2014, Sharp sold the distribution of televisions to the European company Universal Media Corporation (UMC) and was a manufacturer. Together with UMC, the company established itself on the modern European market and bought back its shares of UMC in 2017.
Today's Sharp product range includes multifunction devices, state-of-the-art display solutions and interactive BIG PAD whiteboards and ECR / EPoS systems for a wide variety of industries and applications.
